Peachline completed one of the most ambitious projects. Gashimov’s Memorial organization was incredibly difficult, but honorable and responsible test for each of our team members without exception.
We were responsible for each area of the organization. We offered the tournament name, developed logotype and brand book (tournament is likely to be annual), made the design of all materials relating to the branding of Heydar Aliyev Center (Shamkir), which hosted the opening ceremony and awards ceremony, and all games.
We did not only design, but also produced all the materials from the huge banners on the facade of the building, to flags of the tournament, which decorated city’s streets.List of souvenir, branding and utilitarian products and items included itself over a hundred titles.
We were engaged in logistics of the tournament participants and guests, we greeted players at the airport, were engaged in the resettlement program and responsible for their stay in Baku and Shamkir.
In the city of the tournament Peachline opened front office, which was divided into organizational and accreditation parts.
We have developed the opening script that met and declared the regulations contained solemn part.Viewers were shown a film, dedicated to the memory of Vugar Gashimov, modern ballet, specifically created for this event, and the performance of Farid Mammadov.
Throughout the tournament, we were responsible for all organizational matters, without exception. We were engaged in the transportation of tournament participants from the hotel to the game seats and back, organization of post-match press conferences, worked with the audience. After each day's play out a newsletter with the results was printed.
We also arranged weekend’s schedule. The day was rich and interesting, included a friendly football tournament, a simultaneous game between grandmasters and chess fans in young children's entertainment centre "Zeka", and entertaining and informative tours of Shamkir.
At the end of the tournament we had the awarding ceremony and organized a concert in honor of the event. About 30,000 spectators attended the concert.
All participants and members of the press noted the excellent organization Shamkir Chess 2014.
