Yesterday, 10th December, at the Heydar Aliyev Centre a Premier of the restored and colourised film "Arshin Mal Alan" took place.
The film followed the recorded speech of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev:
Then the audience watched for the first time the whole version of the restored movie.
"Arshin Mal Alan" the movie was shot in 1945 based on the equally named operetta of Uzeyir Hajibeyli, by the directors Rza Takhmasib and Nokolay Leshenko. The main roles were played by Rashid Behbudov, Leyla Badirbeyli, Munavar Kalantarli and other legends of Azerbaijani cinema.
Over 150 people in four countries worked on the restoration of the movie. Among these people were "Oscar" winners, Azerbaijani historians of the cinematography and many other specialists.
The movies was restored and colourised by the initiative of Heydar Aliyev Foundation and financial support by AtaHolding.
